Army (Military)

Collection of original and outstanding standard issue army kukri knives. Loyal, brave and worthy like its master. Some are  issued to the formidable Nepal Army, some to the dedicated Nepalese Security Force and others like OIFK and OEFK are meant for special soldiers selected for special missions. Genuine army kukri knives cum excellent cutting tools, at its very optimum level.


Beyond Khukri (Must See)

The category having exclusive knives other than the khukuri. The modified, improvised, altered version of a kukri where as some are basic knives. It is the only category that does not have khukuri, KHHI’s main product line.



Decorative (Display)

Dragon (Carved)

Carved or etched blade for display, displaying craftsmanship of the craftsman. The dragon layout segment of the catalog otherwise basic working khukuris. With the dragon khukuris, the carver goes through the painstaking job of skillfully carving in the hardened blade of a kukri to demonstrate his ability and give pleasure to an eye. Makers particularly the “Newars” of Kathmandu who have ancient ties and involvement into carving and sculpture culture do the “Dragon” carving to exhibit their excellent art handed down since generations. The Great Indian Mutiny in 1857 AD brought the British and Gurkhas closer than never before. KHHI’s deep research into the standard issues of the Gurkha Units has led to the opening of this new chapter (category) containing the standard issues of the year 2009 of the “Brigade of Gurkhas” and “Singapore Police Force Gurkha Contingent”. Since in each year new khukuris are selected for new security personnel through official tender, KHHI being a pioneer and responsible company felt the importance to guide the mass of its types, features and significance. Basically the selected khukuris are from the same old template however the shape of the blade and some minute changes in the set may occur each year. The selection committee selects the best verifying all details from the requirements of the tender and the same is issued to all freshers.

Raw (Unpolished)

Raw for rough yet beauty of its own. Unpolished for hard and harsh use. Basically a working kukri so finishing or polishing is ignored. This also prevents from losing temper in polishing where heat is generated hence blades are stronger and more durable, plus raw format gives better and sturdier hold. “Raw” has mini sized 8” long blade to 12” long typical working khukuris to pick up from. It all depends on what you need and what you need for. Working kukri knives at its very best..



Sacrifical (Religious)

Ones that are used for sacrificial ceremony in festivals, thus the category’s definite name. Nepal’s custom and ritual still goes strong even in the 21st century and so does the animal beheading ritual. Khukuris under this category are especially used to achieve the very objective. “SiruPate” is actually a name derived from a very slender leaf called “Siru” found in the hilly regions of Nepal. “Siru” is the leaf’s name and “Pate” means the leaf. Since the SiruPate khukuri’s shape is forged in the shape of the Siru leaf, it is called  SiruPate. The blade is much slimmer than regular ones crafted for easy handing and mobility.
